中島まさる
1957年 5月12日生まれ。
1974年「ロッキー・ホラー・ショー」で来日していたレイナ・バートンのバックバンドでキーボードとサイドギターを担当。
1978年日本大学芸術学部音楽学科作曲科を卒業。学外で湯浅譲二氏に師事。
1979年より東京サウンドプロダクションで、テレビ番組の選曲を担当。
1985年独立し、Sound Design CUBICを設立。
1990年代後半から作曲活動を再開し、テレビ番組、映画、CM等の作曲を手がける。
また、2010年からはアーティストとしての活動も再開。
現在は音楽家、サウンド・デザイナーとして創作活動を行っている。
Composer and sound designer. Born on May 12, 1957. Started his career in his teens in 1974 on keyboards and side guitar in the backing band for Rayner Bourton presenting Rocky Horror Show in Japan. Graduated from Nihon University in 1978 with a major in musical composition. While attending the university, also studied under Joji Yuasa, one of the most renowned contemporary composers in Japan. Joined Tokyo Sound Production Inc. in 1979 and engaged in music selection for TV programs. Established Sound Design CUBIC in 1985. In the latter half of 1990s, started to compose music again mainly for TV programs, movies and advertisements. In 2010, started to pursue his original expression again as an artist. At present, focusing on creative works as a composer and sound designer.
